About

about

The 42 acres on the corner of Stanley and Creek Roads, Carina known today as the Clem Jones Centre was founded over 50 years ago by the former Lord Mayor of Brisbane, the late Dr Clem Jones. Dr Jones’ vision for the centre was to see that the children of the local community had somewhere to go to enjoy recreational facilities and play organised sport. With the help of many other dedicated and loyal residents of the Camp Hill/Carina area, the Clem Jones Centre came into being.

The Clem Jones Centre is a non-profit organisation and an initiative of the Camp Hill Carina Welfare Association that and is now widely recognised for its extensive recreational facilities and actively promotes young peoples participation in a wide range of sporting and fun leisure activities.
